The Garrett County Republican Central Committee has announced its Annual Lincoln-Reagan Day Dinner, a gathering of local conservatives, civic leaders, and community members.This year’s event will be held on Friday, July 25, at Wisp Resort in McHenry, beginning with a 5:30 p.m. social hour, followed by dinner at 6:45 p.m.

 

The evening will feature a keynote address from Gordon Chang, internationally recognized foreign policy expert and best-selling author with a brand-new book, “Plan Red: China’s Project to Destroy America.” Other books he is known for include The Coming Collapse of China, The Great U.S.-China Tech War, and China Is Going to War.

 

Chang regularly appears on Fox News, Fox Business, Newsmax TV, MSNBC and CNN and is a frequent contributor to The Hill newspaper as well as a columnist with Newsweek magazine.

 

He has given briefings at the National Intelligence Council, the Central Intelligence Agency, the State Department and at the Pentagon. Chang has appeared to House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.A spokesperson noted that his insights on global affairs and America’s role in the world promise to be both timely and thought-provoking given the current state of world affairs.
